Two-Tone Leather Steampunk Gauntlet Armbraces

These steampunk gauntlet armbraces are without question some of the most dramatic and technically impressive pieces to come out of our Port Elizabeth studio. Handcrafted entirely from full-grain leather, every element – from the sculpted claw tips to the layered armour panels – is cut, shaped, and assembled entirely by hand. Nothing about these is ordinary. Nothing about these is easy to make. And nothing about these looks like anything else.

The deep black leather base forms the structural body of each gauntlet, covering the forearm from wrist to just below the elbow. Burnt orange leather panels are applied across the surface in angular, jagged formations – deliberately asymmetric and aggressive, like armour plates that have seen real use. Layered leather shards and raised detailing create a three-dimensional surface texture that catches light and shadow dramatically from every angle.

At the knuckle end, sculpted leather claws extend from each finger position – individually shaped, layered, and finished to a sharp, menacing point. These aren’t decorative suggestions of claws. They are claws. Brass rivets stud the surface throughout, anchoring the layered panels and adding to the industrial, otherworldly aesthetic. Three leather straps with antique buckles wrap each gauntlet at the wrist and forearm for a secure, adjustable fit.

Custom Orders:
These gauntlets are made entirely to order. Please provide your forearm circumference at the widest point, wrist circumference, and forearm length from wrist to elbow. Custom colour combinations, claw styles, additional armour detailing, and sizing are all available. Please allow 2–3 weeks for your gauntlets to be handcrafted and completed.
